"Culinary Delights Close to Home"

With all of the cookie cutter style restaurants popping up in Stafford, wouldn't it be nice to find a restaurant where when you asked, "Can I substitute vegetables for fries?" - and they didn't look at you like you were from Aquia Harbour!

For the past six years, George White has owned and operated just that restaurant right here in the Harbour, located at the Country Club.  The Clubhouse Restaurant is open to all diners every Tuesday-Sunday, most holidays and special occasions.  George's flare for cooking can be heartkened to American-casual with a dash of New Orleans style and a pinch of Italian.

The key to all meals served at the Clubhouse are fresh ingredients, no matter the style.  Like the ingredients George uses, he likes to keep the menu fresh, too.  It is always changing with the seasons.  The weekly specials are:  "Create Your Own Omelet" Sunday, Italian night Wednesday, featuring four pasta dishes to include Chicken Alfredo and George's famous Grouper Picatta, Shrimp Three Way (garlic, fried or spiced) Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday the Clubhouse features a variety of appetizers, entree's and desserts to accompany their full-service bar.

The Clubhouse staff is almost exclusively composed of Harbour residents, and as such community involvement is very  much a part of the Clubhouse.  Contrary to what George may tell people, he doesn't perform all the magic in the kitchen by himself.  Six years ago, George recruited Dan Ferrer who has worked for such companies as Marriott Hotels and Bertucci's, where they met.

An essential part of the operation, Dan's specialtes are arranging the frequent catered banquets, baking and designing outstanding desserts.

So, on your next "I'm feeling lazy in the kitchen day," don't head down into the 610 mess, stay at home, right here in the Harbour and dine at the Clubhouse Restaurant.  You'll be glad you did!
